At Athletes in Medicine, we believe you shouldn’t have to choose between your athletic career and a future profession in the medical field. In fact, we believe many of the skills and traits that make high-performance athletes also make excellent doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals.
Our goal is to provide resources and guidance to athletes interested in the medical field in order to support them along the challenging but rewarding journey. Through sharing stories of former collegiate and professional athletes who are making an impact in the medical field, we AiM to inspire the next generation of athlete-physicians. Ultimately, we hope to show athletes, professors, coaches, and admissions committees that being a committed athlete and pursuing a rigorous academic career can go hand-in-hand.
