Hi! My name is Kátia Regina Souza and I'm editor-in-chief/publisher at Atípica Editorial. Interested in working with a more diverse public, I created my own digital publishing house, Atípica Editorial, through which I publish only books written by and for social minorities. The name “Atípica” (“Atypical”, in English) is a reference both to the fact that I am neurodivergent and to the writers I contemplate in this initiative: people whose mere existence is atypical in the sense that they have to struggle way more than other groups of our society. I find diverse writers through a selection process (involving a detailed analysis of their books, as well as an interview to know more about their personal background), and work with them to publish and distribute fiction and non-fiction e-books, covering themes from life as an autistic adult to racism and LGBTQIA+ rights.
