Founded in 1994 by Ben Burdett, Atlas Gallery is one of London’s foremost galleries dealing exclusively in fine art photography, with a focus on classic and modern 20th Century vintage photography, photojournalism and fashion photography.
ATLAS also represents a selection of influential contemporary photographers and has been the official gallery agent for Magnum Photos since 2005. Under Ben Burdett’s direction, the gallery works to encourage young artists and photographers, and actively sources individual images and builds collections for both private and public collectors of modern and contemporary photography. Summer 2012 marked an inaugural exhibition in a new ATLAS gallery programme which now includes, for the first time, a specific contemporary focus within the ATLAS Gallery calendar of exhibitions.
