The AT&T First Responder Employee Network (AFREN) supports our law enforcement, fire and EMS teams across America. AFREN is directly aligned with the network goals and objectives of FirstNet. Additionally, having an employee network dedicated to supporting first responders greatly enhances AT&T's capabilities and outreach to provide best-in-class support for our family and friends in communities across the country.
What We Do:
1. Make connections with internal FirstNet teams, fellow AFREN members & external first responder organizations.
2. Build knowledge with programs designed to expand public safety knowledge and advance the FirstNet initiative.
3. Demonstrate support for first responders.
4. Care for your community through disaster relief/recovery, donations and more.
AFREN Programs:
– Customized external programs: built with associations such as International Chiefs of Police and more
– Citizen’s Academy: experience what it is like to be a first responder while meeting your local fire and law enforcement
– Faith and Blue: collaborative effort to build bridges and break biases
– Webinars and Lunch & Learns: hear from external first responder thought leadership speakers and FirstNet experts
– Toys for Tots: supporting first responder families
– Mentoring Circle: get to know fellow AFREN members in a more formal setting while getting mentorship from AT&T leaders
– Meal Service: help support AT&T families who are volunteer first responders when dispatched
– Disaster Recovery: opportunities will arise with local first responders nationwide to help during times of crisis
