As a respected automotive broadcaster and editor, Carl uses his voice and experience to uplift the industry wherever possible. He is a member of the Automotive Women's Alliance Foundation and a supporter of its mission to empower women in the automotive and mobility sectors. Additionally, he serves on the Advisory Board for Reuters Automotive USA, North America's premier automotive executive summit, where he moderates panels with influential leaders and innovators.
Carl has appeared on popular podcasts and radio shows, including Wrench Nation, Cars Yeah, The Car Doctor, and Digital PR Explained, in addition to serving as a regular contributor on MotorMouth Radio on WHPC 90.3 FM. Meanwhile, he oversees a small automotive content strategy consultancy that has worked with leading companies like AEye, AVL, Intrepid Control Systems, Nira Dynamics, OMNIVISION, Ridecell, VSI Labs, and XenomatiX.
Prior roles in the automotive industry include his decade-plus tenure as the managing editor of Automoblog. While building Automoblog into a full-scale publication, he worked as a dealership and new vehicle launch trainer for Ford, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, and Volvo, and as a product specialist on Chevy's National Truck Team and the FCA (now Stellantis) national auto show team.
