The Latin word Auxilium translates to "support". Our program provides tutoring for the following children and adolescents:
1. Those who have or are currently receiving medical care for cancer
2. Those with loved ones (parents, grandparents, guardians, siblings) receiving medical care for cancer
Partnering with different organizations within the broader Philadelphia community, we provide free, virtual, and flexible K-12 tutoring by connecting children with students from the University of Pennsylvania. In order to be eligible to tutor, each Penn student completes training sessions with lessons on emotional support, tutoring techniques, online learning strategies, and situational awareness.
