De Academische Werkplaats Ouderenzorg Limburg is een samenwerkingsverband tussen de Universiteit Maastricht, 9 zorgorganisaties (Cicero Zorggroep, Envida, Land van Horne, MeanderGroep, Proteion, Sevagram, Vivantes, de Zorggroep en Zuyderland), Zuyd Hogeschool, Vista College en Gilde Zorgcollege.
In de werkplaats draait het om het verbeteren van
• de kwaliteit van leven van ouderen;
• de kwaliteit van zorg voor ouderen en
• de kwaliteit van werk voor iedereen die in de ouderenzorg werkt
Hierin werken zorgverleners (zoals verpleegkundigen, verzorgenden, artsen, psychologen, fysio- en ergotherapeuten), beleidsmakers, onderzoekers, studenten en ouderen zelf samen en wisselen kennis en ervaring uit. Daarnaast worden vernieuwingen in de dagelijkse zorg getoetst en geëvalueerd. Praktijk, beleid, onderzoek en onderwijs gaan hierbij hand in hand.
The Living Lab in Ageing and Long-Term Care is a formal and structural multidisciplinary network consisting of Maastricht University, nine long-term care organizations (Cicero Zorggroep, Envida, Land van Horne, MeanderGroep Zuid-Limburg, Proteion, Sevagram, Vivantes, de Zorggroep and Zuyderland), Vista College, Gilde Intermediate
Vocational Training Institute and Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, all located in the southern part of the Netherlands .
In the Living Lab we aim to improve quality of care and life for older people and quality of work for staff employed in long-term care via a structural multidisciplinary collaboration between research, policy, education and practice. Practitioners (such as nurses, physicians, psychologists, physio- and occupational therapists), work together with managers, researchers, students, teachers and older people themselves to develop and test innovations in long-term care.
