The Barrington Area Council of Governments (BACOG) is a voluntary association of elected officials representing the Villages of Barrington, Barrington Hills, Deer Park, Lake Barrington, South Barrington, Tower Lakes, and Barrington Township.
BACOG serves to: develop and promote policies, plans and priorities for regional growth, development and conservation; discuss, study and act on issues of regional interest and concern; and promote cooperative arrangements for shared services and intergovernmental agreements.
