BPC, a division of Haji Hassan Group, Kingdom of Bahrain, was established in 1977, and registered under CR No. 8688, for the purpose of manufacturing and supplying all types of precast concrete components which include but not limited to Facade Elements, Prestressed Hollowcore slabs, Staircases and Boundary Walls. Since then BPC has been a major supplier of precast concrete elements in Bahrain and has continued to develop through the years and remains as the largest precast concrete suppliers on this island. From the beginning of the company’s operation BPC worked closely together with the local authorities to establish a high standard of precast concrete quality, not least the quality standards required by the government sector with respect to Prestressed Hollowcore slabs. BPC’s quality controls and standards have been confirmed by the award of ISO 9001:2008 covering design, production, delivery and erection of precast components. BPC’s facility consists of approx. 20,000 m² covered manufacturing area which includes 12 x 150 mtrs. long Hollowcore beds with 54 tilting casting tables. A storage yard of approximately 80,000 m² forms part of the production facilities. Production areas as well as storage yards are well covered with overhead/gantry cranes. The Hollowcore equipments consist of extruder machines for 150, 200, 265, 320, 400 and 500 mm thick slabs. BPC has its own Batching Plant since 2000 with a capacity of 34 m³ per hr. The Company’s design office is registered as a Category D (A) with The Committee for Organizing Engineering Professional Practice qualifying it for independent design of its precast concrete elements and building systems.
