Baltimore Camera Club Overview

The Baltimore Camera Club (BCC) has been the oldest continuously operating photographic society in the USA since 1884. We were a charter club member of the Associated Camera Clubs of America (ACCA) in 1919 that then became the Photographic Society of America (PSA) in 1934 (back then, we were called The Photographic Club of Baltimore City https://resources.psa-photo.org/index.php?charter-clubs). We legally changed our name in 1939 to Baltimore Camera Club and in 2017 became a founding member of the Maryland Photography Alliance (https://www.mdphotoalliance.org/mpa-clubs). BCC meets on Thursday Nights at 8:00 p.m. (social starts at 7:30 p.m.). In-person meetings take place at Mount Washington United Methodist Church, 5800 Cottonworth Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21209. New members are always welcome! There are no qualifications for Baltimore Camera Club membership: absolute beginner to world-class expert, there will be something for you here. Activities include monthly print and projected digital competitions, programs on the art and science of photography, local outings, and overnight expeditions to selected destinations. The Baltimore Camera Club embraces all forms of the photographic process, from the latest in digital techniques to more traditional analog methods. We endeavor to enrich the lives of our members and support associated communities, by promoting greater interest and betterment in the knowledge and practice of photography.
