Bal is Hindi for Child, which is exactly who we had in mind when we put together this program. It all started with a Preschool yoga class, where parents approached us to see how they could continue their children’s growth at home.
Bal Yoga For Kids is an Award-winning book!
After a two-year journey, we are proud to present the Bal Yoga for Kids book, music and video series. In this program, we have combined traditional yoga poses, familiar childhood melodies and whimsical illustrations to familiarize children with the alphabet while strengthening their bodies and minds.
Our experience as Early Childhood Educators and years of practicing yoga combine to create a positive energy, which we hope to nurture in young children through this program.

About the Authors:
Glenda Kacev and Sylvia Roth are both Early Childhood Education Specialists, having each had 30 years hands-on classroom experience. Throughout their years of teaching, each had been responsible for creating age appropriate curriculum, promoting self-worth, imagination and discovering the joy of learning! It is their dedication to teach young children that inspired them to create the Bal Yoga for Kids program.
Sylvia has been practicing and teaching yoga to adults and children for many years. It is her passion for yoga that has endeared her to the children she has taught. She has studied and practices Ashtanga yoga with Tim Miller in Encinitas, California.
Glenda and Sylvia reside with their husbands and families in San Diego, California. Their many interests include outdoor activities, fitness, cooking, gardening and the arts.
