BAM is an advanced materials company utilizing proprietary technology in high-temperature furnace systems for processing and manufacturing carbon solutions. BAM is located in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains by the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Lab and the University of Tennessee. BAM was founded in the 1980s
as American Furnace in Knoxville, TN, and later renamed North American Advanced Materials. In 1995, the company was acquired and became Bethlehem Advanced Materials, which was eventually shortened to BAM. Today, the company is owned by Loar Group, a global operating company owning multiple niche part manufacturing companies in the aerospace industry.
BAM operates 15 high temperature furnaces across 100,000 sf of facility space in a 24/7/365 operation. We are proud of our ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 Rev D certifications. Our focus lies in addressing the challenges associated with high-temperature processing. Utilizing our expertise and proprietary furnace technology, we assist companies in achieving repeatable and consistent processing of carbon-carbon and ceramics.
