We are a social enterprise dedicated to developing a digital time banking marketplace in the form of an app. Designed to strengthen Caribbean communities through individual, group and organizational skill exchanges. We will give people access to skills that they would not have otherwise been afforded monetarily by encouraging them to participate in their communities.
Our mission is to help increase social mobility, help people identify sustainable sources of income, empower people and enhance communities. We believe in uniting the ideals of the past and the technology of the future to create ways to pay it forward daily using your most valuable commodity; time.
Time banking is utilizing what skills you have, to provide a service in exchange for credits that we can use as currency to redeem for something that you need. Every one of us has something of value to share with someone else. Bandy will allow the user to browse ways to bank time depending on their availability, skill set and interests. Once the user earns their bandy hours they can browse the interface to redeem the equivalent amount of time volunteered. Users can learn new skills, attend online workshops, find regional internships, hairstyles or a home cooked, the possibilities are endless.
