"My parents have been running the same retail store in Wellington for over 20 years. One thing they sell is beads - heaps, like a shit tonne, and the unsustainable thing about retail is dead stock. These beads were so beautiful I couldn’t bear to see them go to waste, sitting unused in the back of a warehouse. So I gave these beads a new life and I started Baobei.
