Gegründet wurde die Firma Barnstorfer Kunststofftechnik / BARKU am 1. Oktober 1977 seinerzeit als Tochterfirma der LUBING Maschinenfabrik GmbH von Egon Schumacher.
Inzwischen ist die BARKU längst ein eigenständiges und unabhängiges Unternehmen, das ein großes Leistungsspektrum im Kunststoffbereich abdeckt.
Heute werden mehr als 15.000 Tonnen Rohmaterial pro Jahr verarbeitet.
Das Werk am Stammsitz in Barnstorf erstreckt sich mittlerweile über eine Fläche von 65.000 m², wovon 17.000 m² überdacht sind.
Mit modernster Technik produzieren hier rund 170 qualifizierte Mitarbeitende im Drei-Schicht-Betrieb qualitativ hochwertige Kunststoffteile.
Schnell und zuverlässig werden sowohl Präzisionsteile mittels Spritzgusstechnik als auch technische Profile und Rohre im Extrusionsverfahren gefertigt.
