About Barratt Developments

Since Sir Lawrie Barratt built his first home near Newcastle in 1958, we have become the nation’s largest housebuilder, with more than 6,000 employees and 29 divisions throughout Britain. As the UK’s most recognisable and recommended housebuilder, our vision is to lead the future of housebuilding by putting customers at the heart of everything we do. We build new homes and neighbourhoods across the country, from Aberdeen to Plymouth, helping to meet housing need in urban and rural areas. We are also leaders in brownfield development and urban regeneration. Wherever we build, we know how much a home matters, so we take pride in creating high quality homes and sustainable places. Our three brands, Barratt Homes, David Wilson Homes and Barratt London offer a variety of properties, from stylish city-centre apartments to luxury detached houses in the beautiful countryside. As well as homes for ownership, we build properties for rent and shared ownership, often working with local authority or housing association partners. We also have a commercial business, Wilson Bowden, which creates spaces from industrial and office buildings to retail and leisure. Oregon, a leading timber-frame manufacturer, underlines our commitment to modern methods of construction. For our current job vacancies, please visit www.barrattcareers.co.uk.
