Barreau de Montréal

Founded in 1849, the Bar of Montreal boasts close to 17 000 members and is the largest of the 15 sections of the Barreau du Québec. Covering the entire territory of the island of Montreal, its mission is to ensure the public’s protection while supporting its members in the performance of their duties. Mission : To protect the public while supporting the members of the section in the practice of the profession. Vision : Be a key leader in protecting the public, promote access to justice, provide tools to Montreal lawyers and contribute to societal discussions on various legal issues.
