Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that attacks any organ of the body in unpredictable ways. Early diagnosis is difficult but essential in preventing organ failure.
BC Lupus Society is one of the oldest Lupus not-for-profit organizations in Canada. While officially formed in 1977, in years prior our organization was already working to provide lupus support in BC.
We are dedicated to conquering one of the most unpredictable and devastating diseases, while giving caring support to those who suffer from its brutal impact. Children, women and men can all get lupus and there is no cure.
