BDA Bayern Overview

The BDA promotes good architecture and building culture at its various levels in the federal government, the state associations and the regional groups. The BDA Bayern is a network of interesting people who exchange views on building culture and professional policy issues, are publicly engaged and take a stand. It consistently stands for a professional approach oriented towards the common good, for climate-friendly construction and for the necessary turnaround in construction towards a cycle-oriented building practice. The BDA Bayern unites 730 members in five district associations who are committed to free intellectual competition and a fair procurement system, the independence of planning from extraneous, especially commercial interests, the collegial cooperation of all those involved in the planning process, appropriate and performance-related remuneration and the promotion of the training and further education of young architects. In order to communicate its view of architectural and planning quality and to ensure the competitiveness of its members as freelance architects, the BDA Bayern exerts influence on the public and on political decision-making without engaging in party politics. It works together with associations and institutions that pursue related objectives.
