Beach Street Restaurants Ltd. began with a simple goal: to create a welcoming neighbourhood restaurant where people could gather to enjoy quality food in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Since opening our first location, 81 Beach Street, in 2005, we’ve grown steadily, with each step driven by our commitment to exceptional dining experiences. The community embraced us early on, and within our first year, we were honored to be named "Kent’s Best Restaurant." This recognition fueled our growth, leading to the acquisition of The Granville in Canterbury in 2015, The Coastguard at St. Margaret’s Bay in 2017, and, most recently, The Coach in Hacklinge in 2023.
To support our expanding vision, we established Beach Street Restaurants Ltd., our parent company, founded on a passion for great food, outstanding service, and teamwork. From a small opening team of three, we’ve grown to 85 talented individuals who bring this vision to life every day. Our commitment to people—both our guests and our team members—has been the foundation of our success.
As we look ahead, we see exciting opportunities for Beach Street Restaurants to become one of Kent’s leading restaurant groups, rooted in community and quality.
