Founded in 1874, the Belfast Philharmonic is Northern Ireland’s longest-established symphonic choir and a cornerstone of the region’s musical life. As a thriving and inclusive choral society, we bring together singers of all ages and backgrounds to perform major choral works at the highest standard.
We are proud to collaborate regularly with the Ulster Orchestra, and our performances span a wide repertoire—from classical masterpieces to contemporary compositions. Our four choirs include the Philharmonic Choir (adult symphonic choir), Phil Youth Choir, Phil Kids, and Phil Juniors, nurturing a love of music across generations.
As a registered charity, we are passionate about both performance and education, offering opportunities for singers to develop their skills in a supportive, creative environment.
