Welcome to Bellamys, the historic catering provider for the New Zealand Parliament.
Our story began in 1773 at Westminster, the UK House of Parliament when John Bellamy, the Deputy Housekeeper at Westminster, attempted to provide catering arrangements for Members of Parliament, creating "Bellamy's" in Britain.
When New Zealand's first Members of Parliament were elected, they too needed a place to eat and drink, just like the 'Bellamy's' in Britain. Thus, the name 'Bellamys' stuck. Although the name no longer exists in the UK, it still survives in the New Zealand Parliament, where we have been providing food and refreshments since 1854.
Today Bellamys continue to provide premium New Zealand cuisine, with the restaurant open to everyone.
