I’m Benedicto Cernal III, a graphic designer with over 8 years of experience in page layout, book/ebook, and marketing designs. My approach to each project is a problem solving design based process. It is a design thinking where I analyze and synthesize problems to create best solutions or best “creative & technical ideas” for each project.
My Design Process:
ASSESSMENT
(GATHERING INFORMATION)
Knowing client's requirements and necessities. Learning about the company, determining the audience and analyzing the competition.
DIAGNOSIS
(DEFINING THE PROBLEM)
Grasping the meaning of the information obtained to gain insights and make use of the information in more immediate contexts.
PLANNING
(BRAINSTORMING & RESEARCH)
The backbone of the design process. Examining and analyzing the problem in search of design directions, ideas and objectives. Making decisions and achieving agreement.
IMPLEMENTATION
(DESIGN DEVELOPMENT AND INITIAL PRESENTATION)
Execution of design based from the design directions, ideas and objectives made. Presentation and explaining the rationale of the design.
EVALUATION
(FEEDBACK AND DESIGN REFINEMENT)
Scrutinizing the initial design presentation together with the client to arrive on the best solution in relation to the initial plan and making adjustments if needed.
FINAL DELIVERY
(APPROVAL & PRODUCTION)
Submission of final design and necessary files. Putting the design into production.
