Best Planter Indonesia (BPI) was born from a strong desire from Heri DB, a former oil palm professional worker with more than 25 years experience to share experiences with the plantation community in need. a simple but very important conclusion from his career is that BUILDING GARDEN is BUILDING HUMAN.
BPI was conceived as a means of sharing best practice knowledge from mentors owned by the plantation community, both active as professional workers and retired workers, for all stakeholders concerned with the glory of plantations, especially Indonesian oil palm.
BPI applies an active participatory training method, where participants interact directly with experienced mentors. BPI mentors come from practitioners of plantations, agriculture, forestry and related fields such as banking, R&D and others with an average experience of over 20 years and have led organizations or parts of corporate and bureaucratic organizations.
The material presented is more focused on management practices, agronomic techniques or actual practice in the field both related to hard skills and soft skills than just theory or discourse.
