Bethlehem House of Bread (BHOB) is a food pantry located in Tigard, Oregon. We’ve been in operation for 10 years and are a partner agency with Oregon Food Bank. We provide free food to over 800 hundred families per month, or about 2,000 individuals. We’re a ministry of Tigard United Methodist Church, and our mission is to feed those who are hungry in body and spirit at a table where all are welcome. We meet our mission in a variety of ways, foremost of which is through the operation of a food pantry that is open three times a week for anyone who needs food.
Out Food For All program provides culturally relevant food and options for pantry guests with food allergies and other dietary or lifestyle preferences. Serving pantry guests is more than putting food on the plate; we want to serve our community equitably and provide food that is familiar, culturally relevant and that they can and want to eat.
Our onsite community garden replicates a farm-to-table model and provides pantry guests with access to fresh and wholesome produce. We have a free onsite goods store stocked with clothing and other household essentials.
