The Phoenix New Times blog Chow Bella says Betty’s is like “a trendy, laid-back wine bar, with a bright red color palette, a partially open kitchen and a mushroom bar area where guests can look at their funghi being stuffed.” Betty’s menu also features burgers, pastas, soups, salads and sandwiches.
The Original Mushroom Bar is the inventive creation of Phil Denaro’s 40+ years of traveling the world and recognizing that, sometimes, the best food – the food that feeds our spirits as well as our bodies – is simple food… uncomplicated, unpretentious. At the Bar guests can customize the toppings for three large button mushrooms or one giant portobello mushroom. Favorites include Shepherd’s Pie, Spinach Florentine, Angry Shrimp and Chicken Alfredo.
