A helyi gazdasági élet minden szereplőjének (kiskereskedőknek, üzlettulajdonosoknak, galériáknak, vendéglátóknak, intézményeknek stb.) és a vásárlóknak, lakóknak is elsődleges érdeke az élhető városi környezet megteremtése. A város több pontján ennek érdekében a vállalkozók összefogtak és együttműködve európai mintára egyre több úgynevezett „tematikus utcát” hoztak létre fővárosunkban, összehangolva marketing tevékenységüket. Ezen folyamat támogatására és felkarolására a Budapesti Kereskedelmi és Iparkamara 2014-ben létrehozta a BUM – Bevásárló és Tematikus Utcák Menedzsmentjét. A BUM Nonprofit Kft. célja, hogy segítse és fejlessze a célterületek kereskedelmét és növelje az utcák látogatottságát, megelőzze az üzletek és a hagyományos kereskedő utcák kiüresedését. Ezen kívül pedig összehozza mindazon szereplőket, akik együtt dolgoznak a főváros, a kereskedelem és a turizmus fejlesztéséért.
The main interest of retailers, shop owners, customers and all participants of the economy is to establish a livable urban environment. At several points of the city, entrepreneurs have started to cooperate with each other to create the so called “thematic streets”. The Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry established BUM – Shopping and Thematic Streets Management in 2014 to help create a livable but still buzzing city. BUM supports thematic and shopping streets to make their development successful. The main goals of BUM are to develop the commerce of these areas and to increase the attendance of the streets. BUM also intends to bring all participants together to work on the development of the capital, commerce and tourism.
