Incorporated in 1990, BEWL is engaged in the manufacturing of cable lugs, Metal Socket, connectors using copper and aluminium as the key raw material, at its manufacturing facility located at Umbergaon, Gujarat. The manufacturing facility has an installed capacity of 20.1 crore units of tools and terminals. More than 65% of the company’s operating income is contributed by exports mainly to Australia, Europe and the Middle-East.
Billets Elektro Werke Pvt. Ltd. began its journey of engineering excellence and innovation from a small shop manufacturing cycle rickshaws in Nagpur. Mr. Govindbhai Patel, the founder, and his son, Mr. Ashok Patel, then diversified into manufacturing of switchgear products and Stardelta starters for the electrical industry. They put to use their academic engineering background to pioneer the use of cold crimping technology for cable terminations.
Mr. Patel's son, Chirag Patel joined the bussiness in 2006 and was put in charge of growing the domestic footprint of the business
