BHANGRA RULEZ is a Perth based bhangra team which was established in 2008 by a group of friends. Our aim since day one has been to represent our traditional Punjabi Culture to the Western Australian society through our Folkloric dance form.
We initially started as a boys team only, and our decision of changing to a mixed team has been beneficial and made us achieve a new platform in Perth. All our team members belong to different regions of Punjab, whilst some come from various states of India. Each of our members have performed at numerous stages throughout their Bhangra Journeys.
Our slogan “Bhangra Meri Jaan”, implies that Bhangra lies within our soul and is impossible to take out from us. It is something we cannot live without.
Bhangra is in our blood, we are here to showcase to everyone what true folk bhangra is.
