BDAS | Big Data Africa School

The Big Data Africa School is Africa’s premier training event offering graduate students a more hands-on experience in the use of Big Data tools and techniques that can be applied to their current or future research. We aim to introduce fundamental data science tools and techniques to talented young science and engineering graduates across a range of disciplines, who have an interest to develop their skills and knowledge in working efficiently on extremely large datasets in any research environment. Since 2017, the Big Data Africa School has trained more than 120 students from the African continent in the application of data science tools and techniques to their research.
