Fujianese Union (FJU) strives to increase the cultural awareness of Fujianese culture among Binghamton University students. FJU encourages and supports the university's diversity by uniting all people who share an interest in Fujianese culture and experience. It’s important to note that the majority of our Chinese students have a Fujianese background. Yet, they know very little of their culture and traditions since their unique culture has been condensed into a broad, oversimplified “Chinese” identity.
