BioFuel Region is a non-profit organisation and was founded in 2003 as a Public Private Partnership. It, is a member owned company promoting and coordinating collaboration in the field of alternative fuels in Northern Sweden and the emerging Bioeconomy in Sweden.

Vi antar klimatutmaningen!
BioFuel Region ägs av sina medlemmar, idag 9 kommuner och 23 företag i norra Sverige. Vi initierar, koordinerar och samarbetar i projekt för att bidra till en fossilfri fordonsflotta och en utvecklad bioekonomi. BioFuel Region är en icke-vinstdrivande organisation som samarbetar med offentlig sektor, näringsliv samt forskning och utveckling. Finansieringen sker via medlemsavgifter, regionala medel och projektmedel och idag arbetar sex personer i Umeå.
