BioMedX is a deep tech company that has developed a proprietary 3D physics engine, known as X3 designed to deliver highly-accurate biomechanical simulations.
At its core, X3 uses a novel mathematical approach, Direct Simplicial Dynamics (“DSD”), developed by our Chief Scientist.
X3 DSD and its novel mathematical approach are discussed and published in a peer-reviewed journal, Engineering Reports, by Wiley.
DSD is distinct from the traditional Finite Element Method (“FEM”) and has advantages over other approaches to biomechanical simulations such as Ball-and-Spring.
X3 Version 1.0 is currently being utilized in the FACIEM Aesthetics Simulator, developed by BioMedX, to simulate the post-procedural outcomes of popular medical aesthetic procedures.
The Company is a recipient of Epic Games’ Epic Megagrant for the proposal to develop an X3 Plugin for Unreal Engine for gaming, Metaverse, and other non-medical applications development.
