BIOtransfer is an independent Contract Research Organization (CRO) dedicated to Crop Protection founded in 1988 at the University of Pierre and Marie Curie Phytopathology laboratory. We achieve research projects on fungicides, herbicides and insecticides mainly for the AgChem industry. Following the last evolutions in the agriculture, we are recognized as experts in evaluation of biocontrol agents (microorganisms & AI), plant defense enhancers, biostimulants and anti-stressing agents.
Our expertise embraces molecular biology, plant physiology, phytopathology, weed science and pests. All of our studies are carried-out in controlled conditions supported by 350 m² of growth chambers recently complemented with 80 m² of high-light intensities chambers to reflect as close as possible a field situation. The staff is composed by 15 scientists cumulating more than 130 years of experience in the agricultural research. We have in house more than 150 plant pathogens ready for fungicide in vitro efficiency evaluation, more than 25 in planta pathosystems, 63 broadleaves & weeds available for pre and post emergence evaluations.
The most representative projects are biological evaluation and ranking of products, efficiency spectrum, resistance monitoring programs (FRAC, HRAC and IRAC data), A.I. knowledge, rainfastness, formulation screening, synergy evaluations…
In addition to our scientific background we are also well appreciated because of our capacity to generated marketing-oriented data (pictures, movies and scientific data) supporting the launching of a new product or sales revitalization.
