WHAT IS CTCD? : The term CTCD refers to the sequence of operations under which the perishable products are held and handled in turn by the producer, distributor,and retailer. The system intends to ensure that the temperatures maintained during the distribution of the product until they reach the customers are those consistent with the maintenance of high quality. In other words, it is a system of transporting, storing and distributing the perishable products in a potent state at recommended temperatures from the manufacturer to the point of use. Most of the sensitive, medicinal, pharmaceuticals,,, and bio-chemical products lose their potency when exposed to undesirable temps and sunlight. Prevent sunlight from affecting the products is relatively easier but keeping them at the prescribed temp is a difficult task. This maintenance of the right temperature during all the operations of distributions including primary storage, interim storage, and transportation is called ‘CONTROLLED TEMPERATURE CHAIN DISTRIBUTION.’ EXPERTISE: Mr. Shirish Avasthi Managing Director and Technical head of the company has variegated experience in Pharmaceuticals, Diagnostics, and Refrigeration besides being an expert in passive cold chain management.
