BluePrint.VI Overview

BluePrint.VI was founded by six Georgetown University student-athletes. Despite our different upbringings, we quickly realized that our paths to Georgetown were different. The uniqueness of each of our situations inspired the name BluePrint.VI. As we gained new experiences and learned new information, we each constantly reimagined our futures, and we strive to help others from near and far construct their blueprint for success. What is a BluePrint? BluePrint.VI is our way of combating feelings of regret, doubt, and anxiety and replacing them with confidence, curiosity, and optimism. Benjamin Franklin famously said “ If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.” Unfortunately, by the time many individuals realize the importance of planning they are no longer in a situation that is benefitted by planning. For the individuals who do plan, they often underestimate the challenges of the process. How many times have we heard the phrase “If I knew then what I know now then I would…”? There is only one way to avoid these mishaps, and it is by leveraging the people who have similar experiences and learning from them. Mentorship is our greatest asset. At any given point, everyone is at a different step in their respective process. Without a doubt, it is the responsibility of each individual to build a network, learn skills, develop good habits, and make good decisions. However, a mentor can further enhance the network that you have built, the skills that you have acquired, help guide your decision making process, and provide more career specific advice.
