BOOST (formerly The Duchess's High School Trust) Overview

BOOST is a registered charity which supports young people to reach their full potential. We work in partnership with the Duchess’s Community High School to provide resources and activities which would not otherwise be available. Building Opportunities for Our Students Together. Our beneficiaries are the 1500 students at the Duchess's Community High School (DCHS) and their families. All of these young people live in rural north Northumberland (DCHS has the 2nd biggest school catchment in England; the same size as Greater London). For this reason, and because of the limitations of school transport, it is vital that our charity supports activity in school which would often be delivered in a community setting. Our priorities are to remove barriers to learning, provide new learning opportunities and enhance the learning environment.
