The aim of the company is to promote biosurfactants as an alternative to surfactants of chemical origin. The ambition of Boruta-Zachem is to optimise the production of biosurfactants originating from biomass fermentation to an extent that cost of their production is close to their chemical equivalents. Boruta-Zachem is determined to promote green chemistry and circular economy concepts. This is shown by our continuous effort to build first biorefinery in Poland. Our long-term goal for the biorefinery is to simultaneously manufacture products obtained as a result of biomass processing, followed by sequential refining of products with high added value, in particular biosurfactants, cosmetic ingredients, prebiotics, probiotics, enzymes and feedstock components.
