In January 2020, Emerson College students Nicola Carbini and David Sabot got together to create the Boston Shorts Fest premiering at the Paramount Bright Light’s Theater. The event was cancelled during the initial wave of coronavirus cases across the United States and postponed for months. Nonetheless, the festival adapted to the current situation and will be utilizing streaming services to showcase new developments in 21st century cinema across genres that span from comedy to documentary, horror, music video, public service announcements, and more.
