Life in the house on the left meant nighttime was terrifying.
Rain meant fear of sleeping huddled together on a wet mattress.
Rats ran across rotted floorboards.
The walls barely stood.
This is how Donna and 6 of her 8 children were living.
Until God’s love stepped in.
He led our founder, @Elise Yap, newly born-again, to them.
And broke her heart.
At the time, she had nothing.
She was reeling from a devastating financial collapse.
No money. No resources. No idea how to help.
But the fire of the Holy Spirit was unrelenting.
God didn’t just call her to feed His sheep.
He called her to shelter them, too.
While rebuilding her life.
While building the business God had birthed from the ashes.
She searched for a way to help this family.
Finally, a mission team showed up and built the first room.
Two subsequent mission teams built out the house to what it is now.
God moved.
Now, Donna and her children wake up in a home where the roof doesn’t leak.
And they no longer huddle together in one bed out of fear.
This wasn’t just a build.
It was a beginning.
It was restoration.
It was real love. With walls.
Homes. Hope. Human dignity.
