The Bridges by Mentors 3 year European project aims to contribute to depolarization, foster intercultural understanding, build trust, and enhance the well-being of international students and young people through the concept of "Internationalization at Home" within the region, by creating a bridge between international students and the values they carry, with the territories, promoting mentoring as a development tool for international students and local youth and promoting mentoring and civic engagement in HEI.
The Bridges by Mentors project is made up of 4 higher education institutions with marked specificities: NHL Stenden, Netherlands, Howest (Belgium), UNIC (Cyprus) and USMB (France), and two institutions with perfectly complementary profiles. Indeed, mentoring is the core of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Bulgaria, and the quality monitoring engineering of European university projects and its assurance constitutes the expertise of ACEEU.
As the name given to this project indicates, the Alliance aims to:
• Facilitating the integration of international students in the region
• Fostering intercultural encounters for young people
• Promoting participation, civic engagement, social inclusion
• Enhancing soft skills for all participants
