Since 1969 the BACG has encouraged national and international scientific and technological communication and discussion of the theory and practice of crystal growth, crystallisation and the appraisal of crystals. The Association has held an annual conference each year since 1970, normally at a University, and has participated in over 10 European and International Crystal Growth conferences held in the UK. As a Registered Charity the Association takes its educational role seriously and sponsors members to attend various associated conferences worldwide.
