The British Fluid Power Association BFPA, established in 1959, represents over 240 British companies in the Pneumatic and Hydraulic Industry.
Located in Chipping Norton Oxfordshire England to perform those tasks which individual companies cannot justify. The following short list is a flavour of just some of our activities.
• Technical Standards, the BFPA is a major contributor to Fluid Power standards via BSI and ISO, we are an external Secretariat to BSI.
• Statistics have been collected by the BFPA for over 30 years and are the only source of market Data. Reporting monthly, quarterly, annual, product specific and the all-important salary survey.
• Training, in Industrial and Mobile systems for Pneumatics and Hydraulics and safety and skills development Hose courses. Many of the are CETOP, the European body in which the BFPA plays an active part.
• Exhibitions worldwide and local are attended by BFPA often in the as a pavilion, giving members the opportunity of top locations and the chance to look more impressive than if exhibiting alone. The UK IFPEX show runs at the NEC every two years and is the only showcase for Hydraulics and Pneumatics in the UK.
These are just a few of the many activities performed by the BFPA on behalf of the Fluid Power Industry but above all it is the integrity of our technology and the people that work within it that matters.
