Brouwerij Van Hellemont was founded in 1838 by Johannes Fransiscus Van Hellemont. During the 19th and 20th century the brewery was one of the most important industrial activities in Lubbeek. The brewery was modernized in 1910. In 1944 Marcel Van Hellemont, certificated brewer, became head of the brewery, together with his brother. They brewed the popular beers "Gold-Pils" en "Export". By the end of the years '60 the brewery was sold.
After 60 years, in 2017, Brouwerij Van Hellemont was revived by the grandchildren of the last brewer, Marcel. This 6th generation wants to keep the brewery's history alive.
Linus Pils is a craft pilsener, brewed according to the recipe of the original Gold Pils, one of the popular local beers brewed until the end of the 60's by Brouwerij Van Hellemont.
