The primary goal of WiCS at Bowie State University is to support and promote women in computer science by motivating them to strengthen their tech skills and provide guidance and assistance to women who are in this field to succeed and accomplish their goals.
This platform would provide a social, technical as well as a networking community where members would highlight and showcase valuable contributions of women in Tech, provide useful tips to the department of computer on improving the learning outcomes for women, and help to attract the generations of female students by designing events which would empower women to be future leaders in Tech.
Another major goal of our club is to increase the participation of women in the field of Computer Science and to contribute towards improving diversity and inclusion for underrepresented minorities within the tech industry.
