We are a German family law, business and estate planning law firm. We are attuned to the needs of and providing services for the individual members of wealthy families, in particular entrepreneurs' widows and children. Our goal is to provide the best possible legal counsel and services with genuine concern for our clients' interests. We focus on spouses' and childrens' needs in Estate Planning, Succession Management, Inheritance Law (international), Probate & Trust Administration, and Real Estate Law. Our mostly female clients stem from well-known wealthy families with large businesses. Typical relative’s risks in the death of the business owner are that quarrels arise among the heirs on what should happen. These will mainly burden the widow: while by law entrepreneurs' widows will most likely inherit not only the majority of assets but the role of the company leader (if there is no other successor in place). This might be a challenging position for the widow with an array of business challenges coming with it. Any adequate preparation for this role, however, is usually neglected. I personally focus not only on preparation but also on immediate help for widows and relatives after the death of the entrepreneur. I myself work as a lawyer, legal manager, and, depending on the specific needs, will add specialized colleagues and consultants who excel in their expertise. Every family is unique and every case constellation too. What is common to all is that an unprepared transitional phase harms the family and the company. Transition of leadership for a company by inheritance should be a streamlined process, not a sudden and tragic event.
