BuildingSMART Morocco based in Rabat in Morocco and current chapter in formation of buildingSMART International. The association was established in 2018 and has as its main objective the promotion of the digitalization of the AEC sector. through the sharing of know-how and experiences between the most advanced countries in the fields of digital architecture/engineering, smart urban planning, and African countries; The organization is focusing its efforts on the African continent, taking Morocco as the intersection point between the continent and the rest of the world. it is based on the capacity of the competences of this continent to support governments in the development and modernization objective expected by the Moroccan and African populations. Among the objectives of our organization: 1. To promote digitalization (and in particular the BIM methodology) in the construction sector, in local administrations, professionals, civil society at national and international level. 2. Generalize and promote the OPEN BIM approach for better collaboration in the design, construction and management of buildings and infrastructure according to open standards and procedures. 3. The transfer of know-how, in order to support African professionals to align themselves with the latest technologies and innovations. 4. Support institutions in the development of state regulations to enable better management of urban space. 5. To help African students develop their knowledge and improve their skills. 6. Support professionals in updating their working methods, with the aim of being competitive in the international market. 7. Initiate and support research and development projects.
