Our proprietary portfolio construction model was developed in 2018 when we faced the challenge of creating a long-term oriented, robust portfolio for a Single Family Office.
The main objectives were capital preservation, neutrality to different economic regimes, positive real return and limited volatility.
In other words, we had to find a Balanced way of mixing Uncorrelated assets to provide a positive, real Yield.
This way of approaching portfolio construction has, since then, become our fundamental way of approaching investments and making decisions, in other words, our internal benchmark/index.
That is how B.U.Y. Basic Strategy originated.
Today, we apply our proprietary framework to understand where our clients' risks lie and then we model it accordingly to hedge and strengthen their current allocation.
