Why We Opened ( BV -MFO Denver, Colorado)
We made changes this month after moving to Colorado two years ago. While we still conduct the majority of our business in and around SF, we believe these adjustments are very necessary to our Colorado business.
We created BV Multi-Family Offices to participate in more than just the typical Venture Capital rounds or as LP's in new funds. The investment stage, sectors and opportunities in Colorado are significantly different from those of Silicon Valley. We felt we missed opportunities because of the constrictions of our former investment policy statement and seed stage sector focus.
These changes will enable us to expand into investing in hardware and consumer products, Agtech and most importantly the intersection of life science and Artificial intelligence all while capitalizing on commercial real estate properties to house and scale those startups so important to us.
There’s no secret, we’ve seen a mass exodus out of Silicon Valley and one of the key hotspots has been Denver, Colorado. We plan to adjust & expand in those investment areas and take advantage of these new opportunities while being unrestricted with our new investment choices!
(BV stands for Bryant and Voula my wife and business partner of 20 years who handles the Biotech-Life Science and Health Care investments)
