Bye Bye Lionfish Overview

By the start of 2020, Wasteless World was getting ready to start building its first community-run recycling station in a small coastal town in Colombia. Unfortunately due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, the project was put on hold. During the lockdown, our founder Tom was stranded on an island off the Caribbean coast of Panama known as Bocas Del Toro. This area not only needed a system like the one he had planned but also had a community calling for change. By the end of 2022, Wasteless World had helped build the community's first recycling center and set up a factory converting the community's post-consumer waste into synthetic lumber, sequestering tonnes of otherwise wasted plastics funding the whole operation, and more. We are committed to helping reconnect people with the community and our environment to drive a movement towards a cleaner, healthier future for all.
